At a time when people believed that all it took to get rid of cockroaches was a good pair of footwear, P.S Pruthi, ventured in the field of pest control. People at that time thought that he was foolhardy. But 52 years of toil and hard work, which has not only resulted in the success of his enterprise but also paved the way for other organisations to follow his path, shows that he was enterprising and futuristic. In conversation with Parminder Kaur Khehra he recalls the old days and how pest management industry has evolved in last 50 years. Excerpts:
