When it comes to linen and laundry management, most hospitals believe that there’s much more to the practice than simply swapping dirty textiles with clean ones and distributing them to their appropriate departments. Like virtually any other department in healthcare, laundry services is faced with the daunting challenge of increasing efficiency and productivity, and finding creative ways to become less of a drain on the organisation’s bottom line.

We all want to be clean and hygienic. Cleanliness is the perfect combination of health and hygienic, i.e., when there is no hygienic there is no health. So when we talk about the very feature of the laundry process we need to have a close look on how laundry process is being worked and why is being considered to one of the most important factor in the hospitality sector today.

Oxygen bleach is safe for most colored washable fabrics. However, if the care label states “No Bleach,” do not use any bleach — not even oxygen bleach.

It is even said drycleaning machine is the heart of the cleaner. According to maintenance specialists, at least 40% of it is wasted. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Bad maintenance is responsible for equipment failures, disrupted production schedules, delays in deliveries, and poor product quality. That means the more we care the more it’s running long, .

AOperational efficiency means optimal results at minimum overall cost. Let us understand, what constitutes the total cost in the laundry. The total cost in the laundry operations is a combination of utility cost (steam / water / electricity), labour (time), chemical, linen replacement/textile, depreciation, maintenance and transportation (applicable in case of commercial laundry).

Industrial laundering is completely different from what we understand as domestic clothes washing. The cleaning requirements, the expected end results, detergents and the wash processes are therefore, different in this case.
